Army Security Agency Reunions

Veterans Memorial Museum has had the priviledge of hosting several reunions over the years. The first event was held for the 126th Signal Service Company.

Kyoto Station began life occupied by the 126th Signal Service Company in 1945 at Camp Stafford, Fushimi Momoyama. In 1951 the 126th was reassigned to Korea and Kyoto Station was redesignated as Field Station 8610 AAU, later as 8610 Du and still later as 10th USASA. In late 1952 the station was relocated from Fushimi to the old 551st Truck Company camp at Fukukusa and the 327th CRC occupied Camp Stafford for a short time before being assigned to Linkou, Taiwan. In late 1951 the 126th SSC (in Korea) was dedesignated as the 326th CRC and the 126th SSC was subsequently reactivated in Japan (at Camp Zama, Tokyo) as a COMSEC group.

The first reunion held at VMM was in 1999 and resulted in the original ASA Plaque and Display being created to honor these veterans.

The second reunion event was held on May 18-19th, 2001 and we were honored to have more honored guests and their families visit VMM.

Matt Mulvhill presents Lee Grimes, Director of VMM and Wayne Galvin, Boardmember and ASA veteran with the original 126th Service Company guidon used in World War II.

The Third ASA event held was the ASA Organization Day on 14-15Nov2003. We were priviledged to have the Senior Historian for the National Security Agency as the keynote speaker. There was a presentation of the displays which held ASA photographs and memorbilia. Free tours of Veterans Memorial Museum (and it's permanent ASA display) was included for all attendees and their families. The first thirty attendees received event packets with a complimentary ASA label pin. Mark Scott and Wayne Galvin both ASA veterans were the contact persons for this event.
